Theme Upload

The following will be done automatically if not done by the user.
  • Images will be converted to a 176x220px png file
  • Files will be renamed to ThemeName.zip, ThemeName.png, and ThemeName_b.png. Theme name will be determined by name entered.
  • Spaces in filenames will be replaced with underscores, with CamelCase used where possible.
  • Uploaded image will be chosen over linked image if both are entered.

The following tips will help in having your theme approved quickly.
Themes will not appear until manually approved.
  • Do not use a theme name that has already been used. Use "ThemeNameAA" for album art versions and "ThemeName VP" for viewport versions. "ThemeNameAA VP" can be used for those with album art and viewports.
  • ThemeName.zip should contain /.rockbox/ in the root to allow extracting directly to the player.
  • Readme files, if included, should be saved in /.rockbox/Readme_ThemeName.txt
  • Any thumbs.db and .DS_Store files should be removed from the zip file prior to uploading
  • Theme description must be less than 12 lines. Text over 768 characters may be truncated.
